As part of Hilton’s new CleanStay program, we at Higgins Hotel & Conference Center in New Orleans have partnered with the Mayo Clinic and Lysol Brand to implement new cleanliness and social distancing protocols to keep our community healthy and safe. Precautionary Measures

With guidance from Mayo Clinic’s Infection Prevention and Control team, Higgins Hotel is implementing enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols in all guest rooms and public spaces as part of the Hilton CleanStay program.

  • A room seal is placed on doors to indicate to guests that their room has not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned.

  • High-touch areas throughout the hotel – including light switches, door handles, TV remotes, thermostats, seating areas, elevator buttons, tables, and countertops - are disinfected and deep-cleaned with additional protocols.

  • Disinfecting wipes and sanitizing stations have been added to primary entrances and high-traffic areas, including elevators, event spaces, and public restrooms.

  • Our hotel’s fitness club closes for cleaning multiple times daily, and has limited the number of guests allowed in at one time to allow for social distancing.

  • Paper amenities in guest rooms - including pens, paper, and directories - have been removed and supplemented with digital alternatives (or are available upon request.)
  • Guests can check in, choose their room, access their room with a digital room key, and check out with zero contact using their mobile devices through the Hilton.

Hilton CleanStay with Lysol Protection

Created in collaboration with Mayo Clinic and RB - maker of Lysol & Dettol - Hilton CleanStay is a new program that delivers rigorous cleaning practices and product offerings from a scientific approach. As part of the initiative, experts from Mayo Clinic’s Infection Prevention and Control team helped to enhance Hilton’s cleaning and disinfection protocols.
